Hello, I'm Sahaja Samarasa,
I am an experienced counsellor, retreat leader, group facilitator, trainer and mentor for professionals working in private practice in Hobart, Tasmania. I hold a Diploma of Counselling and am a Member of the Australian Counselling Association.
I care about people!
Over the past decade I have led over 150 personal development events ranging from beginners workshops to a year-long advanced practitioner training program. These include online platforms and residential retreats.
I also find deep fulfilment in working with people on a one-on-one basis, through private sessions.
I have studied intensely with many experts in the field of transpersonal psychology, meditation and self-development and undergone my own therapeutic and teacher training.
I have spent many years devoted to my own personal and professional development which continues to this day with a great passion for cutting edge study and practice.
I have committed my life to practising and refining the most efficient, effective, therapeutic processes and techniques available to bring about healing results and positive lasting change for others.
After initially establishing a private practice in Byron Bay, a chance trip to Bruny Island, led my partner and I to fall in love with the island and we decided move there and have our daughter. She is our greatest gift from life!
This was a profound time spent with my family in peaceful, nurturing seclusion.
Having chosen to make Tasmania our home, I moved to Hobart and founded Freedom Purity Heart, a natural next step in following my life’s passion and purpose.
I LOVE MY WORK!
It is my honour to assist clients on their journey to self understanding, emotional peace (happiness) and a life of meaningful purpose.
I’m extremely grateful to be able to pass on hard-won personal wisdom, in addition to what I’ve learnt from many knowledgeable and gifted teachers.
Whilst driven by my innate longing for wholeness - for myself and others - my ultimate realisation is that love itself is the ultimate medicine.
